I, For One, Welcome Our New VegAustin Overlords

| | Comments (2)

I was surprised to read a half-page article in the Austin Chronicle about a new vegetarian website, VegAustin.com. Isn't that just like a certain web site you all read all the time, just missing the word "Out"? No, it's a little different. VegAustin is a local branch of Compassion over Killing and is more of a database of events and places to eat than a weblog of veggie-related stuff. I'm glad to see them on the scene and I hope they do a better job of keeping updated than I do, although they seem to be missing a RSS feed which means it will be harder to keep up-to-date with their site changes.

They do link to Veg Out! Austin on their resources page, so here's a little link-love in return.

Hi, Ben. What kind of RSS feed would you like to see? I.e., what would the content of the feed be?

A RSS feed showing new items added to the databases and new "features of the month" would be excellent. The site looks great from a reference point-of-view, but I have to keep manually going back to see the Recent Additions column.
