Alamo Feast Gets a Menu

| | Comments (0)

I heard back from Justin with the Alamo Drafthouse about the Babe Vegetarian Feast they are planning for April 11th, and it's sounding like it will be a very nice evening. They are sourcing a lot of local organic produce for the event. Here's the menu for the five course meal:

Starter: Beet, Apple and Pure Luck chevre galette on assorted greens with pomegranate champagne vinaigrette
Soup: Kale and Roasted Fennel Soup with Root vegetable chips and Spinach Coulis
First Course: Oyster mushrooms, Shady Lane
Second Course: Sugar Snaps, Swiss chard, and Boggy Creek Smoke Dried Tomatoes on a bed of Fettuccine with a Meyer lemon, Basil and wine sauce
Dessert: Organic Chocolate and Spearmint Mousse Parfait With Macadamia Nut Tuile

All of this is paired with specially picked wines and prepared using gourmet recipes. It's not the standard Alamo veggie burger and fries, that's for sure. :)

I've also been informed by my girlfriend that "Babe" is a very cute and wonderful movie that she's seen multiple times, and that the book it was based on was also a great kid's book. That seals the deal; we're getting a couple of tickets. Will you join us?
