Chuy's Vegetarian FAQ

| | Comments (0)

I've heard comments over the years about just how veggie friendly is Chuy's, the popular Austin-based Mexican chain. These comments usually are about the rice, which people assume is flavored with chicken stock. I was poking around their website this evening, and I found an answer in their FAQ section. To quote the site:

Our vegetarian items include: chips, salsa, tortillas, rice & beans, ranchero sauce, rajas con queso, guacamole, nachos, special nachos, banditos, quesadillas, bean & cheese burrito, guacamole taco salad, dinner salad, guacamole tacos, cheese chile rellenos, veggie enchiladas, and vegetarian combo.

It doesn't mention their green chile veggie burrito, but I think that's OK too. Their standard green chile salsa isn't veggie, but the burrito dish uses a different sauce. Of course, it's always best to ask your server.
