Burger-Tex

The first restaurant at which I ate here in Austin, a few months before I became a vegetarian, was The County Line on 2222. I was taken there as part of a job interview. The next place I visited, a couple of hours before my plane ride back to Georgia was the Burger-Tex on Airport. I ended up liking it more than the BBQ, mainly because of the novelty of being allowed to top my sandwich with all the lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions I wanted. They also had some tasty fries. Fast forward a few years, I decide to try the place out again to see if they cater to vegetarians. I was happy to see a gardenburger on their menu for a pretty reasonable price. Everything else was the same -- you top it yourself, so if you get it wrong, there is only one person to blame. ($6)
