Fresh Choice is my pick for the best salad bar in town. Actually, calling it a salad bar is a little unfair, as they also have soups (including at least one vegetarian item), pasta, pizza, baked potatos, bread, and desserts. When you enter, you immediate go to through their salad line, picking the various items you want. In addition to fresh veggies, they usually have a couple of pasta salads and side dishes here. At the end, you choose a beverage and pay for the meal, which runs $6 for lunch and $8 for dinner. Their beverage bar is an additional $1.50, but includes a delicious strawberry lemonade that I always get.

Soups tend to be a high point here. Their black bean chili is a favorite, as are their vegetable soups. You generally won't find something as textured as the soups at Mother's or West Lynn Cafe. They have a couple of noodle selections with a few different sauces, again with at least one veggie choice. Their pizza and baked potatos are their weakest items, but the bread and muffins are very good.

If you go, check out their website first, as you can usually find a coupon to print out that will save you a few dollars. ($9)
