Veg Out! Austin

Hut's Hamburgers in an institution, winner of countless Austin Chronicle awards. Its a little diner on the west end of 6th Street, owned by the people who run Frank and Angie's. They serve 25 different kinds of burgers, most of which can be made vegetarian by sustituting the patty. They also have regular two-for-one eat-in specials on weekday nights, most of which can be bent to apply to the veggie burgers if requested. Their veg chili is passable although a bit mild for my taste. This place is often pretty packed, so you may have to wait a while for a table on the weekends. ($7)
